Tatra Mountains 2025 #4 - Gęsia Szyja (1489m)

Another collection of shots I took on my latest trip to Tatra mountains.
This is a continuation of the same day I visited Rusinowa Polana - photographs from this place You could see in the part 3 of this series.

From Rusinowa Polana we can take another trail in a blue colour which leads us by the steep stairs up the meadows and then throught the mountain forest to the summit called Gesia Szyja.
I found some info that there is more than 2100 steps to climb - I can believe in this as I got really tired after reaching the top

On the top we can find a couple of white rocks from which we can get an amazing panoramic view over the valleys and high mountains around us.

In better conditions this place have a huge photographic potential.

That day the air was hazy and because it was afternoon, it has this unwelcome, blue tones...

Despite that fact I was truing my best to take some panoramic images and few close ups on the mountains in a far.

Summits were covered with fresh snow as it was very cold in the night.
In the valleys we had a nice, springtime weather but it can be seen that the temperature above some level was still around the freezing point so when we plan some high mountains hike we always need to have some warmer clothes with us.

Sky wasn't very interesting but for me such cloudy sky is always a bit better then the clear, blue space.

Light was a bit flat but as I mentioned, it was not the best time for photography...

This trip took me around 4,5 hour but wasn't very demanding and I think that everyone in normal health conditions can do it.

On our way back to home by car I stopped few more times to capture few more shots...

Area around the high mountains is amazing because we can get such a beautiful views in a random spots almost everywhere.
I think I could spend here much more time just driving around and watching how this landscapes change, hunting for good conditions and magical light...
