Springtime 2026 - Forest is waking up

Yesterday I was on a short hike into forests by the Łyna river near my hometown Olsztyn in Poland. The weather was very nice so I took my family with me - of course I took my camera as well :).

The atmosphere - sounds of birds, the smell of trees and different flowers, nice low light among the trees... magical time to be in the field. It is not so dark and rusty like in the very early spirng but still it is not so green like in the summertime.

This is probably my favorite time - ok, second one after autumn, to explore the forest.

About the gear I used - I took only my camera and one lens with me, no backpack, no extra batteries, no extra filters. Lightweight camera Canon EOS RP with zoom lens, old manual Pentax-M 80-200mm f4.5.

Very old lens but still usable and giving nice bokeh and sharp details.
