Polish Nature: Ice Sculptures by the River

Hi Guys!

Another gallery from the last days of winter 2025. Later, the same day I wrote about in my previous post, I moved from the shores of Ustrych lake to nearby Lyna river to search for ice.

I knew that very cold weather plus flowing water can create some interesting ice formations.
On my way along the river I found a few nice spots and got inspired by the natural creations I saw.

The ice, sometimes transparent like a glass, sometimes white, had multiple shapes and textures.
Some of the creations looked like an animals or other magical creatures.

I really hoped that such cold weather will hold on a bit longer so these icy creatures can grow larger but unfortunately the next day become warmer and it started to snow...
Good that I used this final frosty day to capture some of the winter beauties before they melt...
