Icelandic Landscapes - The Land of Dust

Going back in time to my very best photo trip - 8 days road trip around Iceland.

Here - small collection of shots I took when entering The Highlands for the first time.

Icelandic interior is something totally different then the coast. It is wild, magical, open and vast, rough and dangerous, and it is huuge!

I spent there not even two full days seeing just the small part on the road to Landmannalaugar mountains.

The first impressions You can see here - it was windy and sunny weather, the huge amount of dust was present everywhere making the interesting looking haze on the far horizon.

A felt the dust in my nose, mouth and eyes. Like on a huge desert, great plains surrounded by mountains... the feeling of incoming adventure.

Driving the interior roads is an adventure and brings a huge amount of adrenaline every time we are passing the glacier rivers or blind spots in the narrow, steep roads surrounded by spiky rocks.
