Iceland From The Archives #6 - 2nd Night - From Dusk til Dawn

I continued my journey leaving the Golden Circle route I headed back to the Southern coast and head towards West. The sky begun to change into colorful micture of lenticulus and cirrus coulds.
I stopped by the way multiple times to record and photograph this phenomenon.
My final destination for this day was to visit famous black beach in Vik - small black rocks creating the coastline was fantastic and the videw towards these spiky sea stacks was one of my favorite.
This beach is well known also from it's waves which can be deadly if You approach to close to the sea - some of them are much more powerful then others, I saw it on my own eyes when I almost got my feet wet from one of such waves which reach the place where I was standing and feel safe.
I spent around 2 hours there, completely alone, just sitting on the rocks and watching the sea...
When I left the location it was very late already, I found a free parking lot next to the main road where I stopped for the night.
From the windows of my car I was watching the sky until the morning - it was changing all the time and I couldn't just go to bed - the sunrise was spectacular! I didn't have any more energy that morning to go outside with my camera and tripod so I was just shooting from the area of car park just to memorize these coulds, colours and atmosphere...
This was the most beautiful night I had on Iceland - during summertime sunset is slowly changing into sunrise which gives great opportunity to photograph all night long. Since the beginning of my trip I decided to be active during evenings and night time and then I had to sleep during the day.
Sometimes when I woke up, ate my breakfast and was ready to go, it was like 3PM.
