When I visited lake Bled in Slovenia, in order to get to the island in the middle of the lake, we have to rent a boat. All boats there, though, are driven by gondoliers, perhaps that isn't the right word but this is how they look like. I suppose motor engines are not allowed due to preservation matters.
One could say, well, what a nice job to be in the lake, meet positive people, enjoy the nature around. But trust me, it really takes hard work to get a dozen of people to and back from the island.
