But does that mean
I'm merely living a fantasy that's just for me?

I'm striving not to be ensnared by your allure,
I sense your contentment,
Acting as though you've never wounded another.
Not a victim, but one who's stripped their facade,
Leaving raw emotions exposed.

This surreal love tale begins anew,
Observing the world through fresh eyes.
But what if this remains beyond reach?
Is there a role for me in this twist of fate,
As we continue to gaze upon each other?
