"Search For A Better Tomorrow"

I've been searching my heart, trying to find a way
To let go of the hurt and all of yesterday's pain
My steps forward keep slipping, stuck in the mud
Until I finally realize I'm the only one who can break the chains

I need to forget the traces of yesterday
I've gotta face tomorrow without being tied to yesterday
I'm starting fresh for the future, I'm standing up for it
Time to prove to the world that I can make it

I'm shaking off the doubt and setting my sights high
A life with no limits, to live before I die
Every morning's a new start and a chance to try again
A faith that cannot be broken; there's no more room for any more pain

Life ain't easy, yesterday taught me that
Ventures and turns, I just stepped on the mat
But the world is keepin' on turnin', gotta keep movin'
Gotta find my new path and learn to accept that

I have to face tomorrow
Gotta forget all of yesterday's sorrows
Keep on living, breathe and believe in
Myself always, prove to the world I can

The future is in my hands, I must stand up for it
I'm not just one in a crowd, I can't ignore it
Gonna take a stand for who I am, He'll be my guide
There must be a way and a light in which to abide
