I don't know why there are still fragments of you in me
I still feel you even if you're gone
The little memories that haunt me
Lingering memories in my brain just won't go

Now I'm just standing here, letting destiny take me where it should be
No one knows the path of the future
And I don't care what tomorrow will bring
I'm gonna live with optimism and hope
Taking chances because I feel I'm ready

Through the valleys and over hills, away from this hurting heart
My wounds have healed and now I'm wanting to move on

Although I remember what used to be
We're strangers with a distant memory
I'm learning to embrace the change
And not live in my past again

The days have grown longer, they just pass on by
But all that I have is what's tucked away inside
A broken dream and a broken heart
Leaves me feeling torn apart

I don't know why there are still fragments of my memories lingering in my brain
I don't know if it's love or begging, so I'll let destiny take the wheel.
