Is this actually a white petunia?

I have always thought that there is only one color of petunia which is purple. That's something I believe in because that's the color of petunia that I have always seen in my neighborhood. Maybe that made me think that it's the only possible color of its flower. However, while I was walking along the walkway I noticed a familiar flower that has an unfamiliar color, it's a white petunia?

And what's amazing about it is that it seems like an albino petunia because it's planted together with the other purple ones. This made me wonder whether is it a white petunia or it's an anomaly that happened to this plant.

It's quite unique considering that it's just a few them along this line of plants.

I can't really believe it at first but I will be amazed to learn how this actually happened.

Anyone here who can explain the reason behind this phenomenon?

I’ve always seen this flower but never really knew its name. Glad I came across this post- now I can properly make reference to it using its actual name. And about the color, it’s beautiful seeing a white one. I’ve only ever seen a purple one.
