Frangipani (Plumeria obtusa) with its multi-colored petals
I’m always interested in this particular species because it can be classified as a large shrub or a small tree (or it can be both), but regardless of the classification, it produces beautiful flowers with a range of multi-colored petals, depending on the type of shrub(s) or tree(s). Some experts can transplant different varieties into one shrub/ tree and create multi-colored frangipani all within the trunk.
Plumeria obtusa which is commonly known as Frangipani originates from Polynesia but it has adapted to live in most Southeast Asian countries as well.
In my area, there are lots of different types of frangipani in bloom. It's that time of year when all the flowers start to come out. I often see the flowers that fall off the branches on the ground.
This is a flower that I picked from the ground earlier today. I got interested in this flower because it has a beautiful gradient color. This flower has a bright yellow color that turns into white.
A while back, I saw this one with deep red petals. It's different from the first one I showed you.
I have been consistently observing this particular flower type because I have been intrigued by its uniform appearance yet varying colors. It is remarkable how nature can generate such diversity within a single plant species.
Nature has a way of captivating our senses, doesn't it?
I find myself most excited when I'm out there, discovering and observing the wonders of the natural world. Recently, I stumbled upon a beautiful Plumeria tree, its delicate blossoms that gently fall to the ground. The sight was nothing short of mesmerizing. I couldn't resist the urge to take photos of it even with my phone.
Each petal seemed to hold a beauty and uniqueness of its own, and I knew I had to share this with everyone. I hope you enjoyed the photos as much as I do and make sure to take care of nature because it's the only treasure that we can never be replaced by anything in this world.
