"Desire to Fly"

It's time to take a leap of faith, this time I'm leaving everything behind
I'm soaring higher than before, the new horizon is all mine
The open sky is calling my name and I'm not afraid to go
Ready to find me and let the memories drift like snow

I'm starting my life again, without you by my side tonight
I don't know where I'll end up but I want to fly high

My head is held up high and my heart is ready to start anew
I'm no longer gonna stay in one place and live like I used to do
All of the fear that kept me from living has become my courage today
This time I am ready to find what's been waiting for me on this way.

I thought I'd never make it out of this fragile place
My world unraveled with your touch, just like I knew it would
But here I am, shattered and alone, feeling like a fool
Leaves of old memories blowing in the wind, gone for good

Everything that I had known is distant in the night
Will I find my way, might I come out alright?

Gotta start my life again, try to make it to the end
No more waiting for the future, now there's hope for me and you again
Gathering my courage, stepping out of fear's embrace
I'm gonna fly high and write my story on the horizon and watch the sunset.
