WWW - Windy Wednesday Walk!
When you take a look at photos from today's walk, you will probably think how lucky I was to have such great weather... Clean air, a few clouds, the sun, almost ideal... It does look like that, and I was (almost) blown away on my #WednesdayWalk, but literally blown... 😃

Looking at the first two photos, you could think... Firefighters are fixing the traffic sign that was hit in a traffic accident... WRONG! That sign fell because of the strong wind that we had today, and it was still happening during my walk too...

Well, it's not that it was a surprise for me as I was checking the weather before I left home, but I had no choice... I mean, I did, but I didn't want to miss my daily walk... 😃 Orange warning for wind today and yellow warning for Friday afternoon...

Can you spot what's missing at the top of this building?

There you go, a couple of roof tiles fell off... Luckily, nobody was hurt...

I was well prepared for a walk... A hat, a hoodie, and a jacket hood! 😂

Let's have a short class about palm trees... In the example above, you can see how a palm tree SHOULD look like...

What you can see in the distance are examples of palm trees suffering from strong wind... 🙂

This one above is still standing, but for how long?

Fallen brother... 😥

Here we can see another group of drunken palm trees... Too much whiskey?

If we remove the strong wind from the equation, the day was really beautiful... The golden hour was near, and I tried to take a few photos of the sunset...

I have passed by this tree dozens of times, maybe even a hundred, but believe me or not, I still don't know which tree it... The logical guess would be an almond, but the thing is that most of the almonds in the area are blooming in February, and not now... The other guess is cherry, but not sure about it... Maybe I will pass by in the late summer/autumn and check it out... 😃

The fact is that it's beautiful in bloom! 😍

Back to palm trees... This one was definitely drinking rum...

Position of these three flags reminds me of the Moon landing... 😂

More drunken palm trees...

After an hour walking in nature, we are back to civilization, and the problems of a man...

Is it a bird?

Is it a shoe?

...or just a forever-lost children's kite... 🙂

Another firefighter's truck and 2 police cars in the mini-golf site... I was close to it, but some kind of "accident" happened inside the place, so I couldn't see what... Probably something fell because of the wind...

Speaking of fallen things, this is the local park which is usually closed in these circumstances, BEFORE the bad weather hits the town...

...and with a good reason... These big eucalyptus trees aren't prepared for such strong winds... They are not as flexible as palm trees, and things like this happen to them very often...

Take a closer look at these flags... They look like they came back from a war battle... lol... They are torn by the wind!

A few paragraphs above, we had an accident at mini-golf, and this is a fallen tree that was literally uprooted from the ground at the local golf practice field...

Back to the seaside, to check that battlefield... The first one explains the beach facilities, and the second one says that dogs are forbidden on the beach... The irony of this is that besides the wind, the dogs are guilty for these fallen signs... The bottom of the sign pole was urinated on so many times that the wind didn't have a tough job breaking it... 😃

Trash bins all over the place... Checkmate... Wind won!
Thank you for your time.

I will definitely tell Jack Sparrow, who is a friend of mine, to stop giving rum to the palm trees, enough of smuggling and giving them to drink because it makes them very sick.... that's windy!!!! It reminds me of the wind in my hometown, there is always that terrible wind, they call it the windy city... but I will talk to Jack Sparrow anyway... this cannot continue.
That... I think it's a kite, although at the beginning I saw a bat...
This is my favourite picture!

I didn't follow the weather in your part, but I suppose you didn't have anything serious?
And regarding the "green carpet" photo, I like to do them occasionally, but you know how impossible it is to do it in this part of Spain... Everything is burnt by the sun, and only in winter can it be done... As of wind, this wasn't that good, but it can pass... lol...
Thanks for your kind words! 😍
It has been windy but not so extreme, the northern mountains create a barrier and a microclimate with the sea, that's very good!
The area where I took these photos also has a "microclimate", and that's why it has very little rain during the year... Hills and mountains surround it, but nothing could stop this wind, definitely...
The climate in many parts of the world is changing, I hope it will not cause serious problems.

Seeing the trees in your place convinced me how strong the wind is there. Better be careful when walking on those buildings and street signs. Accidents happen anytime. You should wear a helmet, not just a hoodie.. 😂
Hahahaha... True!!! A helmet is more useful in cases like this! 😃
In the meantime, I saw some other videos online, and I was lucky that I wasn't hit by a branch or a fallen tree... It was wild!
The wind was really strong because the traffic sign actually fell over. The place where you hiked is also very beautiful, even if you were walking alone, you’d still enjoy it while taking photos because of how stunning the place is. The scenery is truly beautiful, and nature there is just amazing.
Thanks for checking out the post! Despite the strong wind, it was a pleasant walk!
Sending you some Ecency curation votes!
Thanks, Melinda! 🙏
Of course! Love your photo posts!
Those palm trees really look like they have had a bit too much to drink :) Your photos capture the vibe of that day perfectly!
Thanks! I tried to record the video, but every time I hit the record button, the wind would calm down... lol...
It's an interesting way to think of the palm trees, and I agree that it looks drunk. The weather seems quite bad if it has forced so many of those palm trees into those conditions.
I didn't see any fallen palm trees, but on the other side, there were many others with broken branches, or the whole tree fell (like the one in the photo)
Oh man that's a lot of wind, it's dangerous when there is so much... Honestly I hate when it's windy, feels more cold, gets in the ears... Nothing good in the wind!
The thing is that we had cold weather the previous days, and yesterday, it was surprisingly warmer, which probably triggered the strong wind... So, it wasn't cold, and I didn't think through it very well... I have to admit now, seeing the reports on other media... lol... 😃
Hmmm... doesn't look as bad as in other parts of Spain (I've seen on TV), but you are brave to go for a walk knowing strong wind was coming and things could fly by. But from the pictures looks like you went after it passed or slowed down.
The thing is that I accompanied my wife to a duo practice session while it was the wildest... We went to Benidorm, and the girl we visited was at 12th floor when the strong wind started... lol... They were practicing the mandolin and piano, while the wind was producing sounds through CLOSED windows... 😃
When it was time to leave, I couldn't open the car doors for a while... 😃 Luckily, after an hour or so, it calmed down a bit... So, yes, I was walking around AFTER the worst part....
Wow! I don't even want to imagine how it was... Or what kind of practice they had with wind making noises. I know how it is here when storms come during the summer... Stay safe!
Hope you also did one of your signature talks while walking! :P
Oh, I wanted to... But with so much wind, it was impossible to do it... 🙂
Ah hehe! Looking forward to the next one!
Realmente fue muy fuerte el viento los eucaliptos realmente son quebradizos aunque muy medicinal.
El eucalipto no es tan elástico como una palmera, por lo que sus ramas a menudo se rompen con el viento.
