I'm not a big soccer fan, but I did attend a couple of matches that I watched live... But, it was in a much, much smaller stadium, so I can only imagine the atmosphere when 70K people start chanting, singing, clapping... Thanks for sharing some of the ambient during the match as it has to be unique for every occasion...
Looking at your photos, I have noticed that one thing is missing... Where is a tribute, or a sculpture of the biggest Atleti fan, Torrente?! 🤣
Thanks for sharing your experience!

Good evening, @ph1102 . I apologize for the delay in replying—it’s been a very long day. I take note of your suggestion regarding Torrente... I’m not sure he’s exactly the best role model for humanity, but I will tell you that back in the years when the club was wandering through the catacombs... a lot of people knew about Atleti because of Torrente.
As for the atmosphere, it’s quite festive, and for someone like me—who finds himself liking football less and less these days—it makes for an entertaining time.
I’m not sure if I’ll be posting anything else about football... but while I’m mulling it over, I really appreciate your visit and your support.
Thanks a lot. Have a great weekend!
He isn't a good role model, that's for sure... 😂 But, what you said is true... He promoted Atleti more than anyone else... "The bad advertising is better than no advertising", as they used to say... :)
Have a great weekend!!! 🍻
That’s it, @ph1102, you’ve put it very well. They say Dalí once remarked (or so the story goes) that the truly terrible thing would be if—whether for better or worse—people stopped talking about him.
So, the club still has that monument to Torrente to get around to. 😂
Have a great weekend! 🍻
Gracias!!
