No, we don't have a pointer one... Is that one of those small hand held ones? I think I saw one for sale and it looked like a useful tool, but no don't have one yet. I think probably a good idea though if we start finding some gold?
Yeah one of the small ones. I don't have a lot of experience with metal detecting but the one time I did it, I used a pointer. Without one , you'll end up digging a lot more and possibly still not finding the metal the big one detected. And using the pointer is more fun than the big guy, because it lets you home in directly to the metallic whatever in the soil.
Ah. I see! I appreciate the info. Will definitely look into one of those if we start finding some stuff. :) And, yeah... That does sound like fun! I remember seeing a guy on a History channel show... I think The Curse Of Oak Island? And he was using one of those and it seemed super helpful!
