Two days ago talked about the usefulness of litter materials here in the poultry farm. I was able to talk about how it helps the floor to last longer by using the sawdust that serves as the intermediary between the floor surface and birds droppings. So that when it's messed it would be easy to pack and be replaced. Moreso, I talked about how it would assist the birds from diseases. That's the advantages that the sawdust in the poultry farm but the sawdust which is one of the litter materials that can be used in the poultry farm,it has it disadvantages too but there is a way to make the reduce the disadvantage to the bearest minimum.

What is the disadvantage and how can one proffer solution to the disadvantage?

The thing is you have day old birds, they struggle for lot of things like reaching the drinkers to drink,so there's this special drinkers for day old birds usually turned upside down so they can reach the drinkers. With that there is no way the sawdust won't get into the base of the drinkers which will restrict the water from coming out to the base of the drinkers for the day old to have access to drinkers. A replica of this👇🏿👇🏿👇🏿

This is what I did.

I guess I need something that will stand as the bridge between the sawdust and the drinkers. I thought of some getting flat planks and get them into pieces. So headed to the sawmill. Here are the steps below:-

Step 1-At the sawmill.

Which I bargained with the salesrep for one flat long plank.
