POULTRY FARM AND FARMER'S OBSERVATION.

I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.

Observation in the poultry farm should be one of the ultimate agenda while you are rearing Broiler birds because its plays vital roles in the outcome of the business. What did I mean its plays vital in the outcome of the business? There are things that come in the final stages of rearing a broiler birds. Do you know how it feels to rear 100 Broiler birds and all of them survive from day old till the reach harvest in like 6 weeks to 7 weeks. This is due to the observations that that particular has made during the process of rearing these birds.

Observation in the pen farm.

Being nonchalant shouldn't one of the weaknesses of a farmer, you have to be observation in order to keep your birds safe from any kind of mortality rate during rearing process. Rearing birds isn't all about going into the pen to water their drinkers, fill their feeders and just leave. Its not only about that, you must have done that, you have to observe so many things in the farm. What are some of things that need to be observed everyday? They are....

• Observe their growth by mere looking or lifting them up.

• Observe the smell or odour that pen brings out. Because there's this healthy odour that should be coming out of the pen.

• Observe their dropping, I mean their feces. Normal dropping of birds at early stage for broiler birds should be brown and touch of white or harsh color which is due to change with their age.

• Observe to always check around if there is no holes in the pen where reptiles can penetrate in to harm the birds.

• Also, observe to check the hyperactivity of the birds. Naturally, broiler birds are hyperactive and anything apart from this, then they need medical attention.

These are some of the observations that will keep your birds safe from diseases, virus and mortality. When proper observation is being exercised, it helps the farmer to discover things that may harm the birds at early stage.
