POULTRY FARM AND CHOOSING THE RIGHT BREED FOR POULTRY FARM BUSINESS.

I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.

Under the umbrella of chicken breed, there are varieties of chicken breed that's meant for different purposes which has to do with their different body shape,structure and life span. Meanwhile, the most commonly chicken breed that people used for business purposes are layers chicken for egg production and broiler chicken for meat production purpose. So choosing the right breed speaks a lot about the kind of business someone wants to venture into concerning Poultry farm business.

When going into this Poultry farm business, one has to choose between if you really want to run Poultry farm business for egg production purpose or meat production. This is just a means to choose the right breed for your farm business. Normally, it won't augur well for someone has a farmer to be rearing layers chicken for meat production purpose. That's a misplaced priority if I must say.

Since I started my Poultry business, the only breed I have been into is Broiler chicken which is for the purpose of meat production. And there are many ways one can distinguish this particular breed from the rest of the chicken. Some of the features are...

• They are chubby,have large body and usually contains meat.
• White feathers.
• The male has big Combs when they are grown.
• They grow very fast (within six to eight weeks)
