There are lot of things or precautions that need to be taken when running a poultry farm. First thing that one should bear in mind is how to prevent germs from your poultry pen, farm or house. When running a poultry business one has to be careful when taking care of them, most especially from day old. Germs! Germs are small pathogens that can't be seen with ordinary eyes. These germs happen to develop and cause so many diseases in the farm such as merek, respiratory infection and some other diseases. So there are many ways one can prevent these diseases from happening.

What are precautions to follow everyday?

• The use of hand glove always: When going into the farm, be endeavor to put your sanitized hand gloves on before you feed them or change their water in the drinkers. If at all,you can't take care of them with glove,you can make sure to wash your hands very well before you enter the farm.

• The use of permanent foot wears: This seems like the most important aspect,you don't go into the pen or poultry house with any how foot wears. Some farmers are so fun of going into the pen with wears they have used to walk around town. Like myself,I have a permanent foot wears for my pen, anytime I have the need to go into the pen I will off my regular foot wears outside and into the with the permanent foot wears meant for the poultry house.

• The use of face mask attimes is good but only necessary if you think you have a running nose from catarrh or cold so that it will prevent your sneeze from dropping into their feed or water.
