FEED STARTER ALL THROUGH BECAUSE IT'S FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES.
People rear birds for different reasons;some rear Broiler birds for self consumption purpose while sole rear it for commercial purpose, meaning they are selling it on business purpose. And when you are selling on purpose, there are two things that is attached, it's either you are selling on scale measurement or selling on weight by just mere hand weight. It's good to bear in mind that people are normally attracted to heavy birds. This shows the birds are well fed.
Moving further, there are stages of feed as the birds increase in age. Normally, birds from day old to 4 weeks are fed with starter feeds while from 4 weeks to 6 weeks are fed with feed finisher. I think that usually works for those who have the intention for self feeding but one who is selling on commercial purpose like myself, who's selling on weight I don't use finisher feed because it's less nutritious. Finisher feed is used to maintain the weight of a birds or reduce their weight.
That's more reason why finisher feed is of no use to me because it is going to cut back my profit. Starter feeds are more nutritious than the finisher feed. So I see no reason why I should use my hands to cut down my own profit when I am commercial business Poultry farmer.

The feeds for birds is the reason I find it difficult to go into poultry. This comes after I made enquiry about venturing into poultry. Things are very difficult now and this make birds feed very expensive.

That's why it's better to start small, like to start with 25 to 50 birds. From there, gradually as you are making sales and making profit. The profit will be used for the increment of birds you will order for the next batch. Feeding covers almost 70 percent of the cost of production in Poultry farm business.
