Despite the fact that you have all necessaries capital to run your poultry farm business, there are some farm practices that you need to imbibe as a farmer so as to have value for your investment in your poultry farm business. Before I go further, I will like to talk about what poultry farm practices depicts.

Poultry farm practices are patterns at which you each and every farmer imbibe in taking care of his or her broiler chicken birds either day or adult broiler birds. Moreso, all these farm practices include the health care, poultry management, feeding pattern, means of tidying up the pen house and what have you.

• Spacing: This factor is very important, don't because of greed choke your birds in small pen or room, because they won't grow well and you won't like their result in the end.

• Ventilation; Make sure there is circulation of breeze or air going in and coming out of the pen, this help to curb heat stress that might leads to mortality. When there is mortality, the business investment result will be discouraging.

• Enough Feeders and drinkers: Make sure you will these two tools in abundance so that all birds will have access to feed and water. This encourages average weight of the birds.

• Feed selection: Make sure the feed you are giving the bird are of the best quality. This is one of the factors that make bird grow fast. If course there are many feed out there but make sure you go for the best quality ones.

• Pattern of feeding: One thing is having best quality feed at your disposal but another thing is your feeding pattern. Make sure you feed your feed your birds when necessary. It helps go s long way.

• Provision of illumination in night: According to research ,birds tend to grow faster most especially when they have access to feed overnight. If you live in an environment that its electricity supply is not encouraging, you can make provision for low cost solar or rechargeable lamp.
