Goats are my favorite farm animals, I chose these animals because they serve many purposes to mankind, especially those who knows the benefits of raising them at home.

A brief of description of goat:

Goat belongs to the kingdom of Animalia and family of Bovidae. They have stout-bodied with horns and cloven hooves on their body. Goats are said to be intelligent and curious in nature as Animalia. They communicate with others by bleating, funny, as I look at them as they communicate. They are sociable and friendly at times.

The most beautiful thing about their kids, is that they are playful and fun to be with.
My mother actually breeds them at home.

Aside from the description, they are easily maintained than other farm animals. This is the part I like most in raising goat animals. Every part of their body serve purpose to mankind. Goat produces milk, meat, skin meat, the dung is for fertilizer, horn serves another purpose.

Goats are seen to be a harmless animal, unlike dogs.

In Nigeria, precisely Akwa Ibom State. Rural men and women are using these creatures to make huge amount of money. Just like my mother, raising up to 10 of them at home. Two set of goat that my mother is raising, one that birth two kids at once and another that birth 3 kids at once. Happily, one of which, female is mine, and if I should sell it, you know how much it will be. My mother even told me that it has started longing for male counterparts. Ewe he. I laugh the oh.

Oh gosh, did I tell the meaning of goat in my dialect? My bad! It is called ebod. In Ibibio regional dialect while its kids are called nyin ebod, the female goat is called uman ebod and male goat is called akpo+ebod in Ibibio regional dialect.

you may ask why this particular one:

Harmless:

I am sensitive when it comes to choosing something that will of be benefits to me. Every living or creeping creatures, God created for a purpose. Therefore, there is a purpose attached to creation, be man or animals.

I decided this particular animal called goat because, it is harmless.
This memory remains fresh in my mind, as I saw a dog, bite my neighbors' daughter to death. Since then, dog has never been my favorite animal.

And for mothers who are wise enough wouldn't like to breed dogs, where children are there.

My baby sister can play with a kid goat without a scratch or bite on the child's body.

Food:

Goat meat, milk can serve as food to me and my family.

Daily income:

Goat can serve as our daily income. It can be sold in exchange for money.

Therefore, I picked Goats because it serves a lot to me and to every other person who knows the benefits of it.
