My External Defense Report!

Greetings, friends!

I am excited for my defense that took place, Friday last week and i thank God it went successfully without any rancor from my lecturers and by my side. Every thing went smoothly as i climb the stage with boldness and courage.

Fortunately, it turn out they i wanted and before i left my house to school, i prayed that God should go before me and at the same, to put answers in my mouth. God answered my prayers. No wonder the bible says, 'Ask whatever thing in my name, and i will do it'. He did it beyond my expectations and i was like, this is God doing wonders for me. I went well prepared but the kind of question, my external examiner asked me was amazing.

This is the topic, i worked on: The Syntactic Analysis of the Noun Phrase in Nkari
He got the work from me and called me by my name and i responded, respectfully. This is the question he asked me, ''Ok Peace, apart from the head noun, which other constituents can be used to construct a sentence in a language'', and i responded intelligently, ''the head noun, determiners, modifiers, adjectives, preposition, quantifiers, cardinal numerals'' These are the constituent elements in noun phrase using X-Bar syntax to construct a comprehensive sentence in a language. After mentioning, i stopped and my supervisor, HOD, and other lectures that were presence nodded their heads in agreement and i maintain my status quo of boldness as if to talk the more but i held my mouth in restriction. The examiner said, thank you, and asked the next person that was beside me. It was sweet as i sat down to discuss with my lecturers.

I came out of the hall leaping in joy and excitement. My knowledge about my course was expounded during my research study and i got to understand more about syntax, the tree diagram and the usefulness of it in human languages. It was so profound as i discovered more about this discourse.

And i was grateful to God for my colleague who defended successfully. At the end the we took group pictures with my colleague and my lecturers. Unfortunately, my phone got spoiled when i returned from school and i couldn't have access to those pictures i took. It is painful as i can't post one or two my pictures here.
