HBD as a stable coin: Can Savings Interest be higher than 20%?

Happy new year to lovers of Hive Blockchain. Welcome to 2023, season of new discovery. I love the height we are going on this platform. Is good to discover and learn new things.

Day before yesterday, as I was surfing people's blog to read what they have, I stumbled at @geekgirl blog on the topic; HBD interest payouts for December 2022. Here is the link to the post. It's great to have such good reads to remind or being to our notice developments that we forgot or missed.

I held bound on this post for a longer time, considering how cool the profits of saving HBD could be. 20% over a year means 1.6% monthly. I think that is higher than what curating with Hive does. I really appreciate the team of Hive Blockchain for the idea of making HBD as a stable coin.

Since I've been earning HBD, I never saved before. I'll have a try to see how much it could add to my earnings.

But here is my question:
Is it possible for the saving of HBD to attract more than 20% as interest? Maybe 30% or 40% yearly. I think we could have more people interested to save HBD.

I'll be waiting for your responses?

I love, I care and I forgive.
I remain @peckypeace.

It can be higher than 20% but I don't think it will happen. It's determined by the witnesses and I don't think that is the main reason for HBD. We need HBD to have more use cases outside of the APR and I don't think it should happen at all. At some point, HBD APR will drop and that is because they need to make sure the Hive inflation doesn't get out of hand

Thanks for the question. First of all, we are very lucky as the first Hive blockchain users. In this way, it is not possible to maintain the annual rate of return of 20% for a long time. As first users, we need to know the value of this.

Also, why Hive Power UP when there is HBD saving? As for the question; Hive's potential to gain value is very attractive :) Also having HP adds a lot. For example; Having HP makes a huge contribution to being noticed in the crowd. When I saw your question, the idea of creating a new content on the subject came to life :) Thanks again.
