Today I share with you a passage from the sacred scriptures where the apostle Paul presents a mystery, something that is revealed by God and that cannot be fully understood by the human mind. It speaks of a future time when not all believers will experience physical death, but all will be transformed. This transformation will occur in an instant, in the blink of an eye, when the "last trumpet" sounds, referring to the return of Jesus Christ.
The passage says like this:

Behold, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep; but we will all be transformed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will be blown, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. And when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then the word that is written will be fulfilled: Death is swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your sting? Where, oh grave, is your victory? for the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be firm and constant, always growing in the work of the Lord, knowing that your work in the Lord is not in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:51-58

In this passage the apostle explains that the bodies of believers, both those who have died and those who are alive at that moment, will be transformed from mortality to immortality, from corruptible to incorruptible. This transformation is essential so that believers can fully participate in the Kingdom of God, where death will no longer have power over them.

Paul goes on to quote a passage from the Old Testament to emphasize the victory over death that is gained through Jesus Christ. Death and the grave will be defeated, and sin, which is the cause of death, will lose its power over those who are in Christ.

And the Apostle concludes the passage with a call to action for believers. Paul urges the brothers to remain firm and constant in their faith, to continue growing in their relationship with the Lord and to continue working in his work. This call to perseverance is based on the assurance that ultimately the work done in the Lord will not be in vain, as God grants victory through Jesus Christ.

Hoy les comparto un pasaje de las sagradas escrituras donde el apóstol Pablo presenta un misterio, algo que es revelado por Dios y que no puede ser entendido completamente por la mente humana. Habla sobre un momento futuro en el que no todos los creyentes experimentarán la muerte física, pero todos serán transformados. Esta transformación ocurrirá en un instante, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, cuando suene la "final trompeta", refiriéndose al regreso de Jesucristo.
El pasaje dice así:

He aquí, os digo un misterio: No todos dormiremos; pero todos seremos transformados, en un momento, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, a la final trompeta; porque se tocará la trompeta, y los muertos serán resucitados incorruptibles, y nosotros seremos transformados. Porque es necesario que esto corruptible se vista de incorrupción, y esto mortal se vista de inmortalidad. Y cuando esto corruptible se haya vestido de incorrupción, y esto mortal se haya vestido de inmortalidad, entonces se cumplirá la palabra que está escrita: Sorbida es la muerte en victoria. ¿Dónde está, oh muerte, tu aguijón? ¿Dónde, oh sepulcro, tu victoria? ya que el aguijón de la muerte es el pecado, y el poder del pecado, la ley. Mas gracias sean dadas a Dios, que nos da la victoria por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Así que, hermanos míos amados, estad firmes y constantes, creciendo en la obra del Señor siempre, sabiendo que vuestro trabajo en el Señor no es en vano.

1 Corintios 15:51-58

En este pasaje el Apóstol explica que los cuerpos de los creyentes, tanto de los que hayan muerto como de los que estén vivos en ese momento, serán transformados de la mortalidad a la inmortalidad, de lo corruptible a lo incorruptible. Esta transformación es esencial para que los creyentes puedan participar plenamente en el Reino de Dios, donde la muerte ya no tendrá poder sobre ellos.

Pablo continúa citando un pasaje del Antiguo Testamento para enfatizar la victoria sobre la muerte que se obtiene a través de Jesucristo. La muerte y el sepulcro serán vencidos, y el pecado, que es la causa de la muerte, perderá su poder sobre aquellos que están en Cristo.

Y el Apóstol culmina el pasaje con un llamado a la acción para los creyentes. Pablo insta a los hermanos a permanecer firmes y constantes en su fe, a seguir creciendo en su relación con el Señor y a continuar trabajando en su obra. Este llamado a la perseverancia se basa en la seguridad de que, en última instancia, el trabajo realizado en el Señor no será en vano, ya que Dios otorga la victoria a través de Jesucristo.
