Today I will share with you a passage from the book Romans of the sacred scriptures where it offers profound guidance on how to manage interpersonal relationships, especially in situations of conflict or injustice.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil; Seek what is good before all men. If possible, as far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. Do not avenge yourselves, my beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God; for it is written: Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord. So if your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for by doing this you will heap coals of fire on his head. Do not be defeated by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 12:17-21

Do not repay anyone evil for evil; Seek what is good in the sight of all men."

This verse urges us not to respond to evil with more evil, but to seek to do what is right and good before everyone, regardless of how they treat us.

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.

We are encouraged to seek peace and reconciliation with others to the extent possible, assuming our responsibility to maintain harmonious relationships.

Do not avenge yourselves, my beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God; because it is written.

Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord": Instead of seeking revenge on our own, we are exhorted to trust that God will bring justice in his time and in his way.

So if your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for by doing this you will heap coals of fire on his head."

This verse challenges even beyond passive forgiveness, urging us to do good to those who have wronged us, which can bring about remorse and change in them.

Do not be defeated by evil, but overcome evil with good

The bottom line is that we must not allow evil to dominate or defeat us, but rather we must actively overcome it with actions of kindness and love.

These verses offer a path of forgiveness, compassion, and overcoming evil through good, rather than responding with more evil or revenge.

Hoy les compartiré un pasaje del libro Romanos de las sagradas escrituras donde ofrece una guía profunda sobre cómo manejar las relaciones interpersonales, especialmente en situaciones de conflicto o injusticia.

No paguéis a nadie mal por mal; procurad lo bueno delante de todos los hombres. Si es posible, en cuanto dependa de vosotros, estad en paz con todos los hombres. No os venguéis vosotros mismos, amados míos, sino dejad lugar a la ira de Dios; porque escrito está: Mía es la venganza, yo pagaré, dice el Señor. Así que, si tu enemigo tuviere hambre, dale de comer; si tuviere sed, dale de beber; pues haciendo esto, ascuas de fuego amontonarás sobre su cabeza. No seas vencido de lo malo, sino vence con el bien el mal.

Mía es la venganza, yo pagaré, dice el Señor": En lugar de buscar venganza por nuestra propia cuenta, se nos exhorta a confiar en que Dios hará justicia en su tiempo y en su manera.

Así que, si tu enemigo tuviere hambre, dale de comer; si tuviere sed, dale de beber; pues haciendo esto, ascuas de fuego amontonarás sobre su cabeza"

Este versículo desafía incluso más allá del perdón pasivo, instando a hacer el bien a aquellos que nos han hecho daño, lo cual puede provocar remordimiento y cambio en ellos.

No seas vencido de lo malo, sino vence con el bien el mal

La conclusión es que no debemos permitir que el mal nos domine o nos derrote, sino que debemos superarlo activamente con acciones de bondad y amor.
