In the sacred scriptures we can find books called letters, most of them are written by the apostle Paul, the letter to the Romans about which I was communicating is one of them, another is the letter to the Corinthians divided into two parts.
From now on I will start sharing verses from these letters. In these verses Paul urges the Corinthians to set aside divisions and focus on their unity in Christ, reminding them that he is the foundation of their faith and the only one worthy of their loyalty.

God is faithful, by whom you were called into communion with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in the same mind and in the same opinion. For I have been informed about you, my brothers, by those of Chloe, that there are strife among you. I mean, each one of you says: I am of Paul; and I from Apollos; and I from Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

1 Corinthians 1:9-13

In these verses from the First Letter to the Corinthians, the apostle Paul addresses the division and lack of unity within the Christian community in Corinth. It begins by reminding them that they have been called into fellowship with Jesus Christ, who is faithful and trustworthy. He then pleads with them to avoid divisions and be united in thought and purpose.

Paul expresses his concern about the divisions he has heard exist among the Corinthians. He points out to them that some claim to be followers of Paul, others of Apollos, others of Cephas (Peter) and others of Christ. This fragmentation of the Christian community is contrary to the purpose of the Christian faith, which is unity in Christ.

The apostle makes them reflect with a series of rhetorical questions: Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were they baptized in the name of Paul? These questions emphasize the centrality of Christ and the insignificance of human loyalties. It is not about following a human leader, but about being united in Christ.

En las sagradas escrituras podemos encontrar libros llamados cartas, la mayoría están escritas por el apóstol Pablo, la carta a los Romanos de la cual estuve comunicando es una de ellas, otra es la carta a los Corintios dividida en dos partes.
A partir de ahora empezaré a compartir versículos de estas cartas. En estos versículos Pablo insta a los corintios a dejar de lado las divisiones y enfocarse en su unidad en Cristo, recordándoles que él es el fundamento de su fe y el único digno de su lealtad.

Fiel es Dios, por el cual fuisteis llamados a la comunión con su Hijo Jesucristo nuestro Señor. Os ruego, pues, hermanos, por el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que habléis todos una misma cosa, y que no haya entre vosotros divisiones, sino que estéis perfectamente unidos en una misma mente y en un mismo parecer. Porque he sido informado acerca de vosotros, hermanos míos, por los de Cloé, que hay entre vosotros contiendas. Quiero decir, que cada uno de vosotros dice: Yo soy de Pablo; y yo de Apolos; y yo de Cefas; y yo de Cristo. ¿Acaso está dividido Cristo? ¿Fue crucificado Pablo por vosotros? ¿O fuisteis bautizados en el nombre de Pablo?

En estos versículos de la Primera Carta a los Corintios, el apóstol Pablo aborda la división y la falta de unidad dentro de la comunidad cristiana en Corinto. Comienza recordándoles que han sido llamados a la comunión con Jesucristo, quien es fiel y digno de confianza. Luego, les ruega que eviten las divisiones y estén unidos en pensamiento y propósito.

Pablo expresa su preocupación por las divisiones que ha escuchado que existen entre los corintios. Les señala que algunos dicen ser seguidores de Pablo, otros de Apolos, otros de Cefas (Pedro) y otros de Cristo. Esta fragmentación de la comunidad cristiana es contraria al propósito de la fe cristiana, que es la unidad en Cristo.

El apóstol les hace reflexionar con una serie de preguntas retóricas: ¿Cristo está dividido? ¿Fue crucificado Pablo por ustedes? ¿O fueron bautizados en el nombre de Pablo? Estas preguntas enfatizan la centralidad de Cristo y la insignificancia de las lealtades humanas. No se trata de seguir a un líder humano, sino de estar unidos en Cristo.
