A Wedding Guest

Wedding is mostly a Saturday event. There is this popular Yoruba word for events like this. It is called "Owambe" which in translation means "it is there". This is not a very serious word, it is merely a slang. Basically Saturday was a colleague's Wedding and as I was invited I had to honor the invitation in order to fulfill all righteousness. Every tribe within the country have their own way the have their wedding be it the South South, the Northers, the North Central, The Western part or the South East. In fact to make this more complicated almost every state has diverse of ways the conduct their wedding ceremony. The most important thing is that the couples love each other and are ready to go on with the journey of love and trust.

One thing that is very important to note is that wedding is not just that day's event it is the major beginning to marriage which if well led by love and trust is a life time journey. In all it was a very eventful Saturday and a Saturday to remember. It is very important to honor invitations, especially those of friends.
