Wandering through the Boršice vineyards

Boršice is a village near the Staré Město u Uherského Hradiště (CZ). Actually, when @zirky was in Buchlovice, we were a few kilometers apart.

Wandering through the Boršice vineyards is an opportunity to walk through the rolling countryside of the Moravian Slovakia, drink good wine and talk wisely about it with like-minded people.

Boršice jsou obec blízko Starého Města u Uherského Hradiště. Vlastně, když byl @zirky v Buchlovicích, byli jsme pár kilometrů od sebe.

Putování boršickými vinohrady je příležitost projít se zvlněnou slováckou krajinou, popít dobrého vína a moudře o něm pohovořit s podobně naladěnými lidmi.

Shortly after noon I arrived by train to Nedakonice and took a short, about two-kilometre walk to Boršice. In front of me was Buchlov Castle, to the left Polešovice with its local vineyards and the Church of Saints Peter and Paul.

Krátce po poledni jsem přijel vlakem do Nedakonic a dal si na úvod krátkou, asi dvoukilometrovou procházku do Boršic. Přede mnou byl hrad Buchlov, vlevo Polešovice s místními vinohrady a kostelem svatých Petra a Pavla.

In Boršice, everything was ready for the participants: a map, a glass, tokens to buy wine samples and a "welcome drink". So there was nothing stopping us from setting off on a roughly six-kilometre circuit through the countryside, complete with stalls with wine samples from local winemakers.

V Boršicích už bylo pro účastníky všechno připraveno: mapa, sklenička, žetony na zakoupení vzorků a "welcome drink". Takže nám už nic nebránilo vyrazit na zhruba šestikilometrový okruh krajinou, doplněnou stánky s vzorky vína místních vinařů.

As I wrote, the tasting took place right in the vineyard. Next week there is a similar event in the neighbouring village of Polešovice, where the wine cellars are open. So no nature walks, but tasting right at the source.

Jak jsem napsal, degustace probíhaly přímo ve vinohradu. Příští týden je podobná akce v sousední obci Polešovice, kde jsou naopak otevřené vinné sklepy. Takže žádné procházky přírodou, ale ochutnávka přímo u zdroje.

I don't know how many people attended this event, whether a hundred or two or more, but that's not that important. The important thing is that we had an interesting and relaxed afternoon.

The evening was rounded off with dancing and the band "Svižníci".

Nevím, kolik se této akce zúčastnilo lidí, jestli stovka nebo dvě nebo víc, ale to není až tak důležité. Důležité je že jsme prožili zajímavé a uvolněné odpoledne.

Večer pak byl završený tancem a kapelou "Svižníci".

Měl jsem v plánu navštívit i Buchlov. Ale situace se vyvinula jinak.
Vinohrady jsou fajn... Znám. Chodili jsme na burčákové pochody....
