Mysterious mushrooms

The previous article was about mysterious forest, this one will be about mysterious mushrooms. But don't expect any sensation. To a mycologist, the mushrooms in the photos aren't mysterious. I'd even say they may be among the more common and abundant species. But mushrooms are a bit of a mystery in themselves. They were originally thought to be plants, but now have a separate category in taxonomy.

Some mushrooms are edible and some are quite tasty. I like mushrooms, but I don't know how to find them. When I'm out mushrooming with someone, it often happens that the person in question picks mushrooms where I've walked and found nothing.

But sometimes I find something too - the photos here are proof. But I can't identify the species - unless I upload the photos to inaturalist.com and get advice. But I prefer to look at mushrooms from an artistic point of view, and I don't need a precise identification for that.

Předchozí článek byl o tajemném lese, tento bude o tajemných houbách. Ale nečekejte žádnou senzaci. Pro mykologa ty houby na fotkách nejsou nijak tajemné. Dokonce bych řekl, že možná patří k hojným a úplně obyčejným druhům. Ale houby jsou tak trochu mysteriózní samy o sobě. Původně byly považované za rostliny, ale v současnosti mají v taxonomii samostatnou kategorii.

Některé houby jsou jedlé a některé jsou i docela chutné. Já mám houby rád, ale neumím je hledat. Když jsem s někým na houbách, tak se mnohdy stává, že dotyčný nasbírá houby i tam, kde jsem já prošel a nic nenašel.

Ale občas i já něco najdu - fotky jsou tady důkazem. Ale určit druhy neumím - ledaže bych fotky uploadnul na inaturalist.com a nechal si poradit. Ale já se nejraději dívám na houby z hlediska výtvarného, a na to jejich přesné určení nepotřebuji.
