Indian summer afternoon

)

Today I got home from work exceptionally an hour earlier. What to do with this time bonus? It was beautiful, the sun was shining, so I decided to head to the forest and see if I could take a few photos. It was just a spontaneous idea, and I didn't expect anything special from it—and indeed, I didn't really get anything extraordinary. Just a few bees on some flowers.

On the other hand, I could have wasted that hour in a much worse way, like hanging out at a bar with a beer (and if it's craft beer, apparently that doesn't count as drinking, but as a tasting session 😊).

)

You know how I sometimes say that when photographing nature, you never know what you'll end up with? Well, this just proved it again. On my way home, I stopped by the supermarket to buy a few rolls for dinner. And there, sitting on a roadside billboard, was this stork.

And immediately my mind started spinning. In our country, they say storks bring babies to parents. Is it the same elsewhere in the world? Who brings babies in Nigeria or Bangladesh?

I'll probably just let it go 😊

Take care, and as a final note, I'm reminding you about Round #2 of the new photography challenge #samebutdifferent. Join the challenge and show us that some ordinary things from your surroundings can be extraordinary for the rest of us.
