Bluetail elegans

In one of my previous articles, I shared photos of dragonflies. In this article, you'll find pictures of their smaller relatives.

This insect has a cute scientific name — Ischnura elegans, commonly known as the elegant bluetail.

Right now, there are plenty of them by the water. If you have a pond or small lake nearby with grassy shores, you’ll likely see several of them fluttering about.

Tenhle hmyz má v češtině roztomilé jméno ‒ šidélko sličné, Ischnura elegans.

V této době je jich u vody spousta. Jestli máte někde v blízkosti jezírko nebo rybník s travnatými břehy, určitě jich tam bude všude několik poletovat.
