Otways Creek Re-Visit

I was fortunate enough to be able to revisit one of my favourite places on mainland Australia towards the end of last year. This particular creek is easily my favourite Australian place that isn't in Tasmania.

The Otway Ranges is in Victoria and is known for its waterfalls and forests. I first found and photographed this particular creek in 2005 while taking a "mental health" day (before that was a thing) off work, I was working as a project manager for a large bank, managing 2 teams of 30 people, travelling the country constantly. I'd been home for about 2 nights in 6 months by this stage. So I called in "sick" on a Friday while on a project in Melbourne, hired a car and hit the Great Ocean Road for 3 days.

The bridge in the background was originally wood and somewhat rickety at the time. Here are some of the original photos I took with my 6mp Canon EOS 300D.

I managed to revisit it a few times over the subsequent years, but then wasn't able to visit since 2011. Last year I worked a few projects in and around Victoria, so I booked a few extra days before one of them and once again disappeared down the Great Ocean Road to do some exploring of the Otways again. I revisited a few favourites and then did a huge amount of hiking to find some new photography places. Here are some of the photos:
