Today I am going to share a photography related post with you.

Today I will share with you some photographs taken by me , I took the photographs of Vivekananda Setu bridge which is located at Dakshineshwar. Some time ago I went to Kalimandir in Dakshineshwar with my friends. On the day I went to Kali Mandir at Dakshineswar, I also went to Belur Math after visiting Kali Mandir at Dakshineswar. There is a launch ghat just next to the Kali temple. From that place you have to cross the river by boat to Belur Math.

It takes about twenty minutes to cross the river by boat to Belur Math.

First we went to that ferry and did not buy tickets for everyone. The ticket price was not very high but I forget how much it was. We had to wait there for some time after booking our ticket as there was no launch to go to Belur Math.

I did a lot of photography there while waiting for the launch. Standing from that ghat, this Vivekananda Bridge was very clearly visible.

There were few clouds in the sky that day. With that beautiful cloudy sky, the photography of this bridge was very beautiful, so I stood there and did some photography while waiting for the launch.

Also, when I was going to Belur Mutt under the bridge on the launch, I also took some photographs which you can see in the photographs shared below...

Now let's know some things about this bridge. Currently the name of this bridge is Vivekananda Setu but earlier the name of this bridge was Bali Bridge.

This bridge is located on the Hooghly River in West Bengal. This bridge connects Bali in Howrah and Dakshineshwar in North Twenty Four Parganas.

The first bridge was opened in December 1932. Vivekananda Setu is a multispan steel bridge. It is an important rail and road bridge. The length of this bridge is 880 m. About 24,000 vehicles ply on this bridge daily.

This bridge is very old and is becoming unusable due to excess traffic. It is not possible to repair the bridge properly. Another bridge has been built next to this bridge which you can see even for a glimpse in my photography. The adjacent bridge is called Nivedita Setu which has been in operation since 2007.
