Attended the religious festival

Our biggest religious festival Durga Puja has already started. Happy sixth today. Yesterday was Shubh Panchami. On this Panchami I went to different places in Kolkata to see the Durgo Festival. I have taken a lot of photography around various pandals in Kolkata, I will share them with you all in separate episodes.

Yesterday, I left home around 11 am with the intention of visiting Calcutta pujas. It takes about 45 minutes to reach Sealdah station from our nearest railway station. After alighting at Sealdah station, all the major pujas of Calcutta take place all around. However after leaving home I came to the nearest station and stood for some time as the trains going to Sealdah were very crowded due to Puja. After waiting for some time, we found a train that was almost empty and got on that train.

I had three other friends with me. They also got off from my nearest railway station. However after alighting at Sealdah station we first decided to go to the pandal organized by this Shatadal Sangh Committee. This was my first meeting with Tagore in Calcutta. I went to the pandal and took some photographs and now I am sharing them with you. Shatadal Sangh this time did the puja pandal on umbrella theme. They decorated this puja pandal with different colored umbrellas. They did not make the puja pandal very big this year. In other years they make pandal bigger than this.
