The moon over the plains
The days on the plains are warm and the nights are cold, as if the sun and moon were accompanied by different temperatures, except for certain months when it seems as if the heat migrates to make the weather unpleasant 24 hours a day.
In addition to sunrises, the spectacle provided by the moon in the dark sky is undoubtedly an eternal muse for those who write stories of love and also of terror.
Our natural satellite, given that electricity is not so dominant in a small town, serves as a guide on the roads around it, and when it shines in all its splendour and is in its full and new phases, it produces a natural light that provides an indescribable emotion.
When I was little and there were no power lines yet, I loved to watch it through the window, and my mum used to say I was a moonstruck girl because of it.
I still have a special weakness for its brightness and I am one of those who go out at midnight to bathe in the moonlight, not missing the opportunity to take photos, like the ones I show here, which, despite not being taken with a powerful camera, do not lose their charm.
On the other hand, mysterious stories are still heard in the village, events that occurred when the moon did not rise and plunged everything into a gloomy darkness. Many are true, others are not, or have been exaggerated as a way of pointing out that when the moon does not rise, we should stay at home.
