The Maria Cristina Bridge in San Sebastian, Guipúzcoa

Revisiting the trip to Madrid that I mentioned in a previous post and digging up some photos from that week, I now bring you some pictures of the Maria Cristina Bridge, located in San Sebastián in Guipúzcoa, where my uncle took me one Saturday.
It is a beautiful, touristy city where I was able to swim in the Cantabrian Sea and visit many historical sites.

Personally, and with apologies to my uncle, I liked it much more than Madrid because, despite its touristy nature, its people have more of a small-town spirit, like my hometown, and there is not as much stress or crazy lifestyle.

According to what I later read on Google, the bridge is named in honor of the Queen Consort of Spain, María Cristina of Habsburg-Lorraine, who used to spend her summers in the city.
It crosses the Urumea River and is the most elegant of all. I was impressed not only by the bridge itself but also by its surroundings, where it can be seen in all its splendor.

It would undoubtedly be great to have one like it on a river in the plains, but given the cultural differences, it's not possible, as artistic events only happen once.
As far as I could tell, it connects the center of San Sebastián with the Northern Railway Station and the San Sebastián Bus Station.

These photos were taken with my Samsung A20 cell phone, and although they are not of the same quality as a professional camera, I think they look very good.
