The Church of San Salvador in Getaria

My uncle, who lives in Madrid, works as an environmental management director for a European Union transport company and travels a lot, especially in northern Spain.

So when I was with him, I accompanied him, and among the towns and cities I visited was Getaria in Guipúzcoa, a beautiful fishing village. Among the many places to visit, its Gothic-style church stands out. It is a cultural heritage site in the region and is called San Salvador.

It has a rich history that you can read about on Google, and it is a place where, when you enter, you feel a current of air that envelops you.

It is a supernatural experience, and I asked my uncle to take some photos with his cell phone, which is better than mine, so I could keep them in my digital albums.
The ones inside look a little dark, but that's because the atmosphere there is not as bright as a modern shopping mall, but you can see the details clearly.

We didn't arrive in time for the liturgical service, but throughout the day, tourists and locals visit it.
For those traveling to Spain, I recommend visiting not only the big cities but also the towns in the north of the country, especially those in the Basque Country.
