I miss you every morning,
like the seagulls miss the sea,
like someone who longs for the brightness of a rainbow.
I miss you in the middle of the day,
as if the days without you
were grey, endless,
I miss you at dusk,
as if the fading sun
dragged my whole world with it.
Like a lost shooting star,
that left its course behind
and stealthily fled my dreams.
I miss you in the stillness of the night,
as if the moon wanes its light
and the whole sky falls in sadness.
As if the stars mourn your departure,
as the echo of love slowly fades away.
