Magical trip to Spiti Valley, Chandertal Lake, Baralachala Pass and Deepak Tal.

IMG_5848.jpeg

Hello Everyone,

I recently visited the high regions of Himalayas with my friend on a motorcycle and captured some of the best views and experiences of my life which I’m gonna share with you guys in this blog.

IMG_5841.jpeg

1:- Spiti Valley and Chandertal Lake.

The region of Spiti is the dry and cold desert area situated in Himachal Pradesh, India. It’s about 5-6 hours away from Manali at an average height of about 3300-3500m from sea level.

IMG_5842.jpeg

This place is home to some of the highest peaks of this region. In the picture above you can see the mighty Mt. Deo Tibba (6002m) and Indrasran (6300m).

IMG_5843.jpeg

It’s a complete off road experience riding in a bike to the Chandertal lake as you can see in the pictures. If you are an adventure junkie, this place is definitely for you.

IMG_5844.jpeg

We had our KTM adventure 290 with us and it is very able bike for a terrain like this. It took care of all the bumps and jumps and took us safely towards the heavenly valley.

IMG_5845.jpeg

In the picture above we can see the mighty Mukila peak which is more than 6500m from sea level. After 5 hours of bike ride we were about to reach Chandertal lake.

IMG_5839.jpeg

On our way to Chandertal, we also witnessed two small lakes that you’ll see the the coming photos. The were also very beautiful. The cover picture (The very first picture) of the blog is the panaroma of all the three lakes.

IMG_5859.jpeg

IMG_5860.jpeg

That’s me with our ride. The weather was very pleasant that day so we stopped for a while to catch our breath and also let our bike rest for a while.

IMG_5838.jpeg

The view was amazing as you can see. It was definitely one of the best views I’ve ever witnessed in my life.

IMG_5837.jpeg

My reaction after seeing such a beautiful view in the picture below.😂
It was really jaw dropping. As there are no trees on these mountains, it’s quite difficult to scale things up for you guys but believe me it’s was massive.

IMG_5840.jpeg

Now we were reached the Chandertal lake. You can see the lake in all its glory in the photos below. This lake is quite big so my pictures will only show a very small portion of this beautiful moon lake.

IMG_5846.jpeg

I forgot to tell you guys that it is also called the moon lake. There is also a sun lake about which I’m gonna write in later section of this blog.

IMG_5847.jpeg

2-Baralachala Pass.

The next day we went to the Baralachala pass after tiring bike ride of about 7 hours. This pass is about 5000m above sea level.

IMG_5849.jpeg

As we were in a hurry so we were not able to take much photos on the way, but here are some beautiful pictures when we reached there.

3- Suraj Tal Lake.

After Baralachala we visited the sun lake as mentioned before. It is even at higher altitude than Chandertal lake as you can see.

IMG_5853.jpeg

When we arrived there it was partially frozen and was looking magical.

IMG_5854.jpeg

After seeing this beautiful lake, we headed towards Deepak Tal. Another beautiful lake of Lahol and Spiti Distt.

4-Deepak Tal lake.

While heading towards Deepak Tal, we crossed the longest bridge of Himachal Pradesh, Darcha bridge.

IMG_5857.jpeg

It was really a one of a kind experience crossing a bridge this long. After half an hour of bike ride, we reached the Deepak Tal lake.

IMG_5858.jpeg

The photograph below show the beautiful Deepak Tal in all its glory.

IMG_5855.jpeg

It was really good weather that day and this also reflected in the photos I’ve captured.

Deepak Tal is not a very big lake but very beautiful lake as you can see. We chilled there for a couple of hours before heading back.

IMG_5856.jpeg

Overalls this trip lasted for three days and they were one of the best three days of my life. I’ve saw three most beautiful lakes of Himachal Pradesh in 3 days and that’s an achievement for me.

Hope you guys enjoyed my blog and pictures.

Love from Himalayas ❤️

Wow! It's not hard to believe that these were the best experiences of your life! It looks like a perfect area for a motorcycle even though I can imagine that it was very cold. BTW, how was the breathing at such altitude?

Those photos with the frozen lake are stunning!

We literally faced some breathing issues here. But overall it was a trip to be remembered for sure. Thanks for your kind words dear.
