Holy Week in the Cathedral of San Lorenzo in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. I was there to visit and took many photographs inside. It caught my attention to see the saints covered with huge canvases. Then I understood that the reason was Holy Week, although I don't know the meaning. That curiosity led me to take photos of those covered saints. But without noticing it I took a photo that is more interesting, that of a woman in prayer. That photo is my entry for this week's contest.
Semana Santa en la Catedral de San Lorenzo de Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Estuve allí de visita y tomé muchas fotografías en su interior. Despertó mi atención ver los santos tapados con enormes lienzos. Luego entendí que el motivo era la Semana Santa, aunque desconozco el sentido. Esa curiosidad me llevó a tomar fotos de esos santos cubiertos. Pero sin notarlo tomé una foto que es mas interesante, la de una mujer en plegaria. Esa fotografía es mi entrada para el concurso de esta semana.

Oh I didn't know images are covered during Holy Week. Indeed because Christ has died and thus everyone is in mourning until Easter Sunday. 😁 I guess it's kinda the same thing as when I wondered why the baby Jesus was missing in mangers before Dec. 25. Lol.
