This reptile is a tegu lizard, a species native to Argentina that can grow up to 1.5 meters long. What's surprising is that I took this photo in the Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve, located right in the heart of Buenos Aires. In this reserve, you can observe a wide variety of birds, turtles, rodents, and lizards. However, I think the most striking feature is precisely the lizards, which are considered low-risk. They have the ability to swim and climb, adapting easily to different environments. This is my post for this week.

Este reptil es un lagarto overo, una especie nativa de Argentina que puede llegar a medir hasta 1,5 metros de largo. Lo sorprendente es que esta foto la tomé en la Reserva Ecológica Costanera Sur, ubicada en plena ciudad de Buenos Aires. En esta reserva se puede observar una gran variedad de aves, tortugas, roedores y lagartos. Sin embargo, creo que lo más llamativo son justamente los lagartos, considerados de baja peligrosidad. Tienen la capacidad de nadar y trepar, adaptándose con facilidad a distintos ambientes. Esta es mi entrada para esta semana.
