PhotoFeed Contest - Street Photography Round 174
This strange figure is located in Montevideo: it's "The Waving Man" and it stands six meters tall. It's an international art project created by a South Korean sculptor. What strikes me most is that it's located on the opposite side of the world from Korea, which is precisely why it was installed in Montevideo. I took the photo from the bus that was taking me to Punta del Diablo, Uruguay. Since the journey is quite long, I amused myself by taking pictures from the window, and that's how I got this shot. I can't imagine what the neighbors must think when they go out onto their balconies and see this peculiar character. This is my post for this week.
Este extraño personaje se encuentra en Montevideo: es "El hombre que saluda" y mide seis metros de altura. Se trata de un proyecto artístico internacional creado por un escultor surcoreano. Lo que más me llama la atención es que está ubicado en las antípodas de Corea, justamente por eso se lo instaló en Montevideo. La foto la tomé desde el bus que me llevaba hasta Punta del Diablo, en Uruguay. Como el trayecto es bastante largo, me entretenía capturando imágenes desde la ventanilla, y así fue como logré esta toma. No puedo imaginar qué pensarán los vecinos al salir a sus balcones y encontrarse con este peculiar personaje. Esta es mi entrada para esta semana.
