Rodin's Thinker in Buenos Aires is not a simple imitation. It's one of the few bronze copies cast from the original mold and signed by Rodin himself. Stumbling upon this sculpture in the heart of the city is quite a surprise. I read that it arrived in the country at the beginning of the 20th century and that, at the time, it generated considerable controversy because it depicted a male nude in a public space. Today we find it amusing, but back then it was a real issue. This is my post for this week.
