Malaysia, Malaysia...
What an awesome country. And a big surprise, also: I was hearing some rumours in the previous weeks on how next Hivefest location could likely be in South America. And then the official post dropped... and Malaysia it is!!
Kuala Lumpur is where the action will happen, and here I am remembering the good times I had there in a #monomad fashion. Can't believe it has been 10 years already since my first visit!
Although the Petronas twin towers are one of the most famous postcards of the city, there's so much more.
As usual in any big asian city, chaos and tranquility mingle together quite nicely; and here I've found quite some calm places, to contrast from the concrete jungle. There are also beautiful parks, if you need your nature fix (I know I do!)
You won't find painted storks wondering around on the city parks, that's for sure; but if you visit the most awesome bird park I've visited (and if my memory doesn't fail me, one that has one of the biggest open area), it's likely you can have a face to face with them! Worry not, they're cool!
Now, regarding the other Kuala Lupur inhabitants... you'll probably find them everywhere, even when you're not expecting them! Some are harder to see than others, so it's up to you to keep an open eye; especially since some of them can gain some interest in your belongings if you leave them unnatended.
And no, I'm not talking about the lizard. 😉
Bird parks, orchid heavens, botanical gardens, a vibrant city... and me very keen on revisiting it, especially if it means pairing it with seeing familiar faces again and meeting new ones! I still don't know if I can make it, but it's definitely not off the table at this point.
As for you... who's joining the fun in KL???

Wow how nice everything, it would be for me wonderful to visit Malaysia and do nature photography there, the photo of the storks looks great. And the view from the heights I also liked a lot, thanks for sharing your photographic work 🤗📸.
If you like nature photography you would go nuts here. And outside KL is where the cooler photos are!
That's true, I would be very happy to visit such a beautiful place and be able to take many nature photos, someday I will 😊 🙏, cheers.
Thanks a ton guys!
Wow! Beautiful photos and a trip! I'm surprised you can meet wild animals in this place.
This is just a small sample; in tropical countries even an urban park is filled with life!
Thanks a ton @brumest and @qurator!
Hey there such a wonderful taken pictures..I also like seeing birds but it's hard to find here in our place as they are far away..have a wonderful day
Birds are everywhere, even in big cities! ;)
Very cool location for HiveFest and I´m curious about the attendance. It´s quite far from Europe and the Americas so I guess it will be mostly about Hivers from Asian countries and I´m wondering how many people will eventually shop up at the event. Will you be there? :)

It will depend on a few things, but it's still on the table! Plus, I have a pretty cool friend living in KL as an added bonus, and I do want to visit the Borneo part... let's see if this bull run happens! ;)
Are you considering attending?
I see. Hopefully, you will be able to go :) Me? I wish, my friend, but the chances of me going there are next to nothing...
You never know... never say never! ;) !BBH
Astonishing view! Malaysia is definitely and wonderful place to go to.
The Petronas Twin Towers are very impressive.
They are; although for me, the best of Malaysia is outside the big cities!
Cool mono pics 👍 I've never done a Hivefest
Really recommend it... and Malaysia is an awesome destination! ;)
