Landscapes from long ago
I still couldn't take a decent period of vacations this year (more than one week, that is), although hoping to change that in the short term. So I'm missing some of those landscapes that you can aprecciate when you go far, far away from your home country.
Such as the huge rocks that seem to erupt from the sea, covered in vegetation, so common in the asian seas. Glad I can remember them in a #monomad challenge fashion! One year ago, I was already counting the days to my vacations in Singapore and Philippines. I was missing Asia, and I'm already eager to go there again! The jungles and volcanoes are also landscapes that I wouldn't mind seeing again.
And if there are jungles involved, I'm not picky about the location. African islands? Yep, it works too!
The huge mountain that goes above the clouds is called Cão Grande (literally translates to "Big Dog"), one of the many cool stuff you can see in São Tomé island.
Not that Europe doesn't have awesome landscapes, too; but there seems to be that extra fascination in travelling as far as you can. When you can't... well, even in the portuguese islands we can find amazing places.

There was a saying when I was in college that was something like In Açores, if it's not green... it's a cow, relating to the amount of animals roaming free in the Azorean fields. Yes, there are cows in the photo; but it was the green that caught my eye - or in this case, the grey!
Another eye catching landscape is the one in Capadocia, Turkey; it seems we're on a different planet! And it's even better seen from a balloon.
Man... so many awesome places, so little time. Anyway, it's time to ask myself the usual question: Where next? Because vacations are just a couple months away, and I still have a lot of the world to explore!

Thanks!
Awesome pics. Black and white perfect choice 👍 adds to the mystery and wonder of the shots
Have to see if I can add a few more to my portfolio soon. ;)
Those are nice shots especially with that hot ballon.
There were a ton of balloons that day, I was really lucky!
