What an occasion...

...as it was indeed one of those spur of the moment things that lit my interest.

A lady and her two sons walked past us, and the one boy told me that he took a photo of me with his drone taking photos of the moon with my camera.

We took a walk in a local park near the mountains, as it was a nice and clear day, although still with a cold breeze, and the warning flags are up to tell us that, yet another cold front will land soon, bringing its cousins rain and snow. Things will soon start to turn icy here, but we love it, as the freezing cold kills many germs. We feel for all those that have to sleep on the streets during winter, and the issue is that protection has been offered to them but if they go into one of the shelters then they cannot drink or take drugs. So, they refuse the offer and its by choice that they sleep on the streets. But I digress and let me show you what took place here with the boy and his drone.

I saw the drone above me, but I didn't know who it belonged to or what it was doing. Instead, I was told afterwards that it was the boy's drone, and he took some shots of me.

I even snapped a shot of a pied crow flying over under the boy's drone.

Then a thought came to me. I asked the boy if he could hover his drone over the view of the moon, so that I could take some shots of it, and he was very happy to oblige. A smart little fellow this, as he had a small square control box, and he started to set the drone up for flight.

I have to say that focusing simultaneously on both objects, the drone and the moon, is a nightmare due to the distance between the drone and the moon.

You can see below, that I shifted the focus on to the moon, and the drone image became blurred.

So, I showed the boy some of my moon shots, like the one below, and he was thrilled to see it.

The bench at the right is one of the normal seats that we take, and this was where we were sitting when the mom and the two boys came strolling past us.

We are nature and mountain junkies, and like I said so many times before one can never expect what we can find when we go out there. Alertness and spontaneity are great traits to have in order to prepare one for the unexpected. People that normally walk in these parks are similar to us as they also have a love for nature, and they are also very friendly. The people also like to take their dogs for a walk here in the late afternoon, and even early morning. And the dogs enjoy the outings very much. I joke with some of the people that their dogs are out taking them for a walk, and that its good for their health. My chirp always creates a smile, and it makes me happy.
Such is life.
