Walking in nature's algorithm.
It was a warmish 19C day, but an icy wind was still tingling our ears.

We often see predators eating their prey, and it always leaves a queasy feeling in our stomachs. For instance, a lion eating a small buck, or a bird of prey eating a small nestling. Many such incidents occur, and it is just the laws of nature to make her residents survive. Predators control the population, and they also play a role in the ecosystem. Everything has its place and purpose in nature. Do you think that nature's laws are cruel?
No, as nature has its own rules, and our mistake is that we acquaint it to our human algorithms. The animals also need to eat, and so nature supplies the food. In our human existence things are also not much better, as I can think of many instances that reveal the cruelty in our lives, and it is much worse than the rules of nature. Imagine a newborn baby being dumped on an ash heap, or how many people get murdered every day. Makes one think, doesn't it?
In any case, let me show you the peaceful views in here.
I love that palm tree in our neighbour's garden, and most of our squirrels were born in this palm tree.
This shot below was when we left our house.
And now I shall just continue to show you the other views.
Cloud formations can certainly add character to the views, and almost every day we can see different formations in the views. This is because we are exactly in-between the mountain range and the openness of the Atlantic Ocean. The different wind directions also play a key role in the constant changes of the views, as I have shown you many times before. Driving the clouds low over the mountains and high over the ocean.
It is well known in our country that we have potholes in our roads. A pothole is created by the rain penetrating the asphalt and this eventually causes the under layer of the road to start sinking in. Someone said that he now has potholes in his mind, as it creates trouble for him to think clearly and he has noticed that his short-term memory banks were also affected. I think that it is a better description than the age-old foggy brain one.
I also suffer from the same thing, as when a person is introduced to me and he mentions his name, if I see him again on the same day then I call him by somebody else's name. People make money out of this stuff, as they start businesses that they call mental training, whatever that means. Information overload, coupled with sleeping problems can only worsen the situation. That's why I have started to take one day per week (Friday) to abandon all forms of technological things. After so many years, my Fridays are really starting to feel like a short holiday :)
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

More wonderful views from a place so far away from me! I do love how the mountains push up through the clouds and look so spectral.
Society may have made it so that we believe we are exempt from the cruelties of nature but there are just different risks. Love that you unplug for a day and do work to repair those pot holes!
Glad to share the views with you, and I know that you appreciate it.
Life is full of different risks my friend, and we just have to be careful. The days off are like a short holiday, and I think that the potholes are permanent. I just have to prevent them from growing bigger Lol.
