Time spent on the moon.
I popped out early morning to get the clouds playing with the moon.
A cold wind was blowing high up, and it constantly moved the wispy clouds over the face of the moon. So, I thought to tell you a story about a perceived problem. I am saying perceived problem as so many times problems arrive that hold imaginary substance. Now we know that the clouds can never capture the moon, so the idea in my mind is that when we are facing a seemingly impossible situation in life, we must remember that it is not necessarily real.
Sometimes we worry about something, and at times the worry almost consumes us. But then one wakes up one morning and the problem has disappeared, or the solution is very apparent. Like switching on a light in the brain, and one has a great sense of relief. In the meantime, the worry was totally unnecessary, and worry is never a good thing for one's health. A local saying is that it is just a dog barking at a car, as the dog can do nothing to the car. It is just a noise, and those noises appear so often in our imaginations.
In the two pictures below, it seems that the cloud was now going to block the moon.
But not so, as the moon escaped to only face another approaching cloud.
There you can see the tip of that cloud trying to capture the moon.
But again, the moon escaped.
So, the pictures will give you an idea what I am talking about. In my imagination I perceived the problem of the clouds catching the moon, but instead the moon is many miles beyond the clouds. Take for instance my title for this post, "Time spent on the moon", seems to say that I spent time on the moon, but that is an impossibility, yet it is the same with some of the problems we have. What I am trying to say is that some of us are occupied with too many worries, some are real, and others are fake. And again, I have to stress that worrying is not only bad for one's health and it is important to find a balance in life.
Such is life.

I can tell you were enjoying your time staring at the moon. Funny how the illusion of the clouds catching the moon, from our perspective we can't tell the moon is actually much, much farther away. It is fun to watch the clouds cover the moon with wispy clouds though. It's one of those simple joys of life that is absolutely free. There aren't many simple pleasures like that anymore...
I hope things are treating you well down at the Cape. It would be nice if the economic situation would turn around down there. Here too for that matter... The world is eternally in one catastrophe economically after another.. Many creates money, money makes man unhappy...
I hope winter is starting to give way to some warmer weather soon, it's been nice an and sunny here pretty much everyday. One of the joys of Southern California, however, with the high cost of living it's one of the few!
