Spoilt for choice with lots of variety on show.

Sky shots, tree shots, bird shots and even the recent full moon, in pairs.

I always take two or three shots of an image in case a single shot blurs. At times I can only get one shot of a fast flying bird for instance and often see that the shot is a dud. But in saying this, many of my single shots come out fine. Luck? No, I don't believe in luck, as regular practicing over the years always pays off. This is not bragging, as it is hard work and also time consuming, but I also enjoy it, as photography is a great relaxer.

Two shots of a sunbird that sat in an Acacia tree, and the silhouettes did not lend themselves to the exact identification of the bird. I do know the shape of the beak that identifies it as a sunbird. We have a pair of Southern Double-collared sunbirds that nest here and it stands to reason that this would be the female due to the size of the bird. The female is smaller than the male, and she also cannot sing like the male.

Once more, I had a battle with the clouds to get a clear full moon, but patience is my friend as you will see below that I got it in the end.

The birds have to scrounge around for food on these cold, cloudy, and rainy days, and they have to pop out in-between the rain breaks to look for insects and seeds, or nectar and whatever else it is that they eat. Even if it is cold, we like to have a bit of sun so that the flowers will open and some insects will arrive to feed the birds. Bad news is that yet another two rainy days are on their way, and some provinces up north are already experiencing floods and damages.

We will have another full moon on the last day of this month, and we only hope that it occurs on a clear night. But if not, then I can always get a full moon in the next month. It is just that this full moon was special as it was the first of two full moons in one month from the first day of the month, and on the last day of the month.

There is a particular kind of tragedy in watching a wolf dress itself in shepherd's clothing, not to protect the flock, but to shear it bare while convincing the sheep they are being cared for.

Today, we pull back the curtain on @guiltyparties.

To the casual observer, this account appears to be a hub of charity, a distributor of aid, a beacon of hope in the Hive ecosystem. The transaction history is a cascade of outgoing transfers: thousands of HIVE and HBD flowing to gpwallet accounts, to individuals in need, to "medical emergencies," to "food funds," to "rent." The memos speak of compassion: "dog's vet," "towards surgery cost," "Christmas event and gifts for the children."

But look closer. Follow the money. And you will find not a charity, but a centralized banking cartel disguised as a community fund. You will find a system where power is concentrated, transparency is an illusion, and the "help" provided is merely the interest paid on a loan of trust that can never be repaid.

We expose the truth: @guiltyparties runs a massive farm, a shadow bank, and a political machine, all while pretending to be a simple benefactor.

The most dangerous lie is the one wrapped in truth. Yes, @guiltyparties does send money to people in need. The transactions are real. The memos are heart-wrenching. "Medical," "Food," "Surgery."

But consider the source.

When a warlord builds a school in the village he occupies, is he a philanthropist? Or is he buying silence?

The ledger shows that for every dollar given to the poor, ten dollars are moved between shell companies (gpwallets). For every memo about "feeding children," there is a silent transfer of thousands of HIVE to @logic to fund the bots that downvote dissenters.

The Truth:
The "charity" is the marketing budget. It is the cost of doing business for a cartel that seeks to dominate Hive's governance and culture. They give you crumbs to keep you from noticing they are eating the whole loaf.

IV. The Connection to the Downvote Machine

We cannot talk about @guiltyparties without talking about @spaminator and @hivewatchers.

The cycle is complete:

  1. Accumulate power and wealth (often via opaque means or early adoption advantages).
  2. Distribute small amounts to the public to build a reputation as a "benefactor."
  3. Fund the enforcement arm (@logic/@spaminator) to silence anyone who questions the source of the wealth.
  4. Repeat.

This is not community building. This is protection racketeering on the blockchain.

V. The Verdict: A Scam of Proportions

To call this a "scam" in the traditional sense might be too simple. It is more insidious. It is a governance scam.

  • The Promise: "We are here to help the needy."
  • The Reality: "We are here to control the narrative."

The use of dozens of gpwallet accounts serves no purpose other than obfuscation. A true charity publishes its ledgers. It does not hide behind gpwallet24 and gpwallet25. It does not route funds through internal swaps to avoid detection.

@guiltyparties has built a shadow state within Hive. They hold the purse strings, they hold the voting power (via delegates), and they hold the whip (via downvote bots). And they expect us to thank them for the privilege of being ruled.

Epilogue: The Reckoning

There is a particular courage in speaking truth to power, especially when that power holds the keys to your survival.

But the blockchain does not care about fear. It only records truth.

And the truth is this: You cannot build a free community on a foundation of centralized control. You cannot claim to be a benefactor while funding the silencing of your critics. You cannot pretend to be a saint when your ledger reads like a mob boss's ledger.

To the users of Hive: Do not be fooled by the breadcrumbs. Look at the bakery. See who owns the oven. See who controls the flour. And ask yourself: If I speak out against the baker, will I still be fed tomorrow?

The time for gratitude is over. The time for scrutiny is now.

Sorry to hear that more rain is on the way, it makes those moon shots harder. It would be an accomplishment to get the pair of full moons from the first and last of the month. Let's hope the weather cooperates for round two. Good luck!

Such beautiful landscape shots and to be able to pick out the sunbirds. Great catch, and that beak really does give them away. They remind me so much of some hummingbirds, but you don't have those over there unfortunately.

I notice lots of gray clouds, I guess that means the cold front is moving on in... Such is life!

The forecast was changed today and now they reckon that two new cold fronts are approaching. The first will land on Sunday.
You are right as I did get the second full moon.

One can often id birds by their beaks, and it's also my preferred method, but then again, one can also get it totally wrong, as there are so many bird species in the same family, and it can become very tricky. Glad that you know that we don't have hummingbirds here.

Yep, the first cold front travelled inland where much flooding and damages in its wake, and like I said above, we are waiting now for a double whammy of cold fronts to strike us.
